Vibrant District Fund

LQ BID has established a £100k pot which we will use to co-fund 50% of the costs (max £5000) of initiatives from levy payers who want to do something to improve the vibrancy of their workplace or the wider district.

You can use the form at the link below to submit a request, which will then be considered by the LQ BID Board.

Clayton Hotel’s Exterior Works

LQ BID co-funded new planters outside of the Clayton Hotel. LQ BID aims to liven up the area outside of Clayton Hotel, bringing some colour to the district. This project included hanging plants to welcome guests, and planters surrounding the outdoor seating.

Rory Gallagher Statue

Working alongside The Rory Gallagher Statue Project Trust, The Ulster Hall, and Belfast City Council – LQ BID helped fund this landmark statue to celebrate Rory Gallagher’s legacy in the Linen Quarter. This statue promises to be a key landmark for visitors to celebrate Belfast’s rich musical heritage.

Murals

Wild Belfast Swift Mural

Wild Belfast installed this piece of street art as part of their commission by Belfast 2024 to install four living murals across the city. LQ BID provided co-funding in order to extend the reach and visual impact of the street art.

Within the mural, there are swift bricks to attract swifts back into the city.

Bedford House Floral Mural

In October 2024’s Safe & Clean week, LQ BID co-funded this mural with Bedford House to deter graffiti and other anti-social behaviour.

Trade Market Mural

As part of Hit The North 2023, this mural was commissioned to brighten the area around Trademarket on Dublin Road.
