Destination Marketing

LQ BID frequently carries out marketing activities to promote the district, including sense of place, events and experiences.


Current projects include:

Running ‘Linen Quarter’ Instagram page as a hub for cool places to visit, eat and drink in the district

The Annual Belfast Restaurant Week, which is due to take place again in October 2024, in partnership with Belfast One BID and Destination CQ BID.

Make Music Day 2024, which will be a district wide celebration of music

The Bankmore Square Summer Series, which is a series of events over 6 weeks in the summer

Running the Belfast City Centre Giftcard alongside Belfast One and Destination CQ, which has contributed £550k+ to the City Centre since 2018.

Curating a Linen Quarter Walking Tour – Spinning Yarns – which will take place for 10 weeks over the summer of 2024

Co-ordinating Belfast City Centre’s Purple Flag Steering Group, which was successfully re-awarded in February 2024

Proactively seeking out and creating PR opportunities, to promote the district across print, broadcast and digital media.

A range of short term initiatives, in partnership with levypaying members and city stakeholders which market the district as a cool place where business and pleasure meet, with lots to do for visitors and residents.
