LQ Charity Partnership

Linen Quarter Business Improvement District is home to over 350 organisations including a number of charities and non-profit organisations. Since our inception, we have been supporting charities on an ad-hoc basis – our Annual Dinner in January has supported a number of organisations including NOW Group and BCM, while we have leased our assets for free to NICHS to carry out fundraising activities and we have supported many others through awareness raising in our newsletter and other channels.

In recognition of the increasing demands on charities at this time – where the cost of living crisis has increased demand for services while inflation, rises in national insurance and other factors are impacting the ability to provide these services – we have decided to formalise our charity support and fundraising efforts and appoint a nominated charity of the year fora two year period 2025-2027.

We are interested in hearing particularly from charitable organisations based in the Linen Quarter, or those who can demonstrate that their work has a direct impact on the district and the people who live, work and visit here.

The successful organisation will be one who can work with LQ BID to create opportunities within our existing events and employee experiences program which LQ BID will support the success off through our communication channels which reach thousands of local employees and stakeholders – this is an opportunity to raise funds but also awareness and drive engagement with services among an engaged stakeholder group within the business community.

 

Process:

Thur Jan 30th: Application Launched

Weds April 30th : Deadline for Applications/Expressions of Interest

May: Shortlisting & Meetings With Shortlisted Organisations

June: Appointment for 2 years (until June 2027) & Public Announcement at LQ BID AGM
