Building A Circular Economy District

The circular economy is a model of production and consumption, which involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible. In order to facilitate Belfast’s transition towards a circular economy that can secure growth of the region, the success of its businesses and the creation of future jobs and opportunities, we need to consider the built environment as well.

The report below explores the collaborative approach that can be delivered to help transition towards a thriving city that is livable, sustainable and resilient. The report produced by Sean Lockie (ARUP) looks at the benefits of a circular economy, including economic, social and environmental benefits.
