Spring Safe & Clean Week 2026

That’s a wrap on LQ Safe and Clean Week, Spring 2026, which took place from 20-24 April and included;


1. Hosting our sixth volunteer event, where 80 participants took part in painting, planting and litter picking across the district. They removed 65 bags of rubbish from the city centre.

2. Completing a wildlife-themed community mural on Apsley Street with artist Dean Kane. This is part of a community project with Donegall Pass Community Forum.

3. Repairing our Flying High mural at Hope International Church, which had been targeted with graffiti.

4. Completing district-wide police patrols and business engagement with our dedicated officer, Sarah Craig. On Wednesday she was joined by a detector dog, Margot.

5. Resourcing a hospitality deep clean for all major hotels and venues in LQ. Our clean team visited all of the hotels, and actioned member requests.

6. Launching our new corporate volunteering programme, Love Linen Quarter, where members can avail of volunteer days all year round.

7. Finishing Safe and Clean Week with our Streetbeat Officer, Constable Sarah Craig, conducting a joint patrol with Chris Agnew, our Business Crime Reduction Partnership Officer.
