Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP)

The Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) is a collaborative initiative by Belfast One, Cathedral Quarter and Linen Quarter BIDs, and delivered by Safer Business Network. Its purpose is clear: to provide a dedicated, city-centre focus on tackling business crime in Belfast, the economic heart of Northern Ireland.

Using a structured, intelligence-led approach, theĀ BCRP works to prevent and respond to retail crime, repeat offending, and antisocial behaviour. The goal is simple, ensuring that businesses, employees, and customers are not only safe, but feel safe.

By bringing together local businesses, BIDs, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), and Belfast City Council, the partnership enables real-time information sharing, helps identify repeat offenders, and supports coordinated action across the city centre.

At the core of the project is the Alert platform, which allows businesses to quickly and easily report incidents. The Alert platform also includes a live 24/7 chat function which can be provide real time information to help businesses protect themselves and take appropriate action. The more information shared, the stronger the collective intelligence, leading to more effective prevention and response.

Joining the platform is fast and straightforward. To learn more or get started, contact Chris Agnew, Business Engagement Officer, at chris.agnew@saferbusiness.org.uk.
