Since July 2023 I have been Linen Quarter BID’s Admin & Business Engagement Manager.

Through engaging with levy payers, I try to foster positive relationships with the local business community and stakeholders. I also have a combination of administrative duties, provide support to the MD and to the Managers of each of the four themes of the business; Safe & Clean, Regeneration & Investment, Promoted & Vibrant and Healthy & Sustainable.

Favourite LQ Landmark:

My favourite historical landmark is the Thompson Memorial Fountain, which is located on the intersection of Bedford Street and Ormeau Avenue.

Dr. Thomas Thompson was one of Belfast’s pioneers in the fight against cholera and served for over 40 years. After witnessing the horrible consequences of epidemics at the time of the Great Famine, he established the charitable ‘Home for the Incurables’ in Belfast. The fountain was constructed in 1885 in memory of Dr. Thompson by his daughter Eliza.

Favourite place to eat and drink in LQ: My favourite place to eat in the district is Panama in McClintock Street, as they have a good variety and also great options for me as a vegetarian. My favourite place to enjoy a drink is Flaxx during Spring/summer because you can eat and drink here with your best mate as they are dog friendly too!
