Plans announced for new food market in former Europa bus centre

The new street food market planned for the former Europa Bus Station, known as the ‘Halt’, is the first phase in the wider 1.5 million square feet Weavers Cross scheme, led by the developer MRP. Subject to planning approval, it’s set to open this summer.

The food market concept has been inspired by the success of similar Belfast ventures such as Common Market in the Cathedral Quarter and the pop-up Trademarket venture on Dublin Road, which closed in July 2024. MRP said it has already received considerable interest from a range of traders.
