Free Business Training
Linen Quarter BID is working alongside Belfast Met to promote a comprehensive array of business training opportunities. There are courses relevant for food and hospitality, business & finance, product design, engineering, and IT. Some of these courses start in September, but they will also be re-run in the New Year. Note: staff currently on furlough can still participate in training opportunities.
Best of all, many of the courses are fully funded up to March 2021, including a 100% skills grant from the Department for the Economy. Alternatively a call for applications for a £5,000 innovation voucher from Invest NI opens this month. Please note that conditions apply (see links below for details).
- SMEs with under 50 staff can avail of fully-funded tailored upskilling and training in a range of innovative areas via the InnovateUs programme (https://www.belfastmet.ac.uk/support-for-business/helping-your-business-innovate/)
- Eligible private companies with under 250 staff can benefit from 100% funded qualifications through the Skills Focus programme (https://www.belfastmet.ac.uk/support-for-business/fully-funded-training/)
- Do you have a new product or service idea but aren’t sure how to do it? Consider applying for the InvestNI Innovation Voucher programme to gain assistance from a knowledge provider such as Belfast Met. (https://www.belfastmet.ac.uk/support-for-business/product-development/)
- Are you interested in Emerging Technologies/New Product Development? Belfast Met may be able to support your Innovative project through the Connected programme.
There is a direct link between staff skills and business productivity, and as part of our aspiration to create a high performance business district LQ BID encourage all of our members to review options in the attached brochure and sign staff up to a new opportunity.
