FLAXX Social Space is ready for the Summer!

The FLAXX Social Space has undergone a Spring clean and colourful upgrade, making it more than ready to receive visitors during the Spring and Summer seasons. The works were carried out by the BID’s cleansing contractor CleanWorks during April.

First opened in Spring 2022, the FLAXX social space has proven popular as an outdoor facility for socialising and has added a sense of vibrancy to the Blackstaff Square area. Located on top of the road surface of Brunswick Street, between the junctions with Franklin St and James Street South, the outdoor facility has showcased how road infrastructure can be reimagined as attractive public realm that boosts footfall and local spend.
