Photo Gallery: LQ BID Summer Events Program 2025
Summer 2025 saw LQ BIDs Summer Animation Program move from its former home at Bankmore Square to the colourful Flaxx Deck on Brunswick Street.
Over the past 6 weeks, local employees and visitors to the district have been enjoying a range of animation and events including cultural dancing, musical and drag performances and returning favourites including Kinedale Donkeys & Party Animals Petting Zoo.
With our 3rd Annual Inter-Company Pétanque Tournament taking place at the Piste which sits alongside the Flaxx Deck, Blackstaff Square was the place to be during summer lunchtimes with the weather mostly on our side – only our ‘Blackstaff Circus’ had to move into the Belfast Grand Central Station to the joy of commuters and visitors there.
Flaxx will continue to operate as a free public seating space into the autumn, so you can continue to bring your lunch and enjoy the space while the weather is moderate, plus keep your eyes open for a brand new Canadian themed container kitchen opening at the boardwalk in the coming weeks…
