This November, let’s RE[act] together and help shape the Belfast we want to live, work and thrive in.
Following the success of our previous editions, RE[act] Festival returns in 2026 as a week-long celebration of sustainability, innovation, collaboration and action, taking place across Belfast from 9–15 November.
RE[act] brings together sustainability experts, businesses, communities, policymakers, creatives, innovators and changemakers to share ideas, celebrate what’s already happening, and explore how we can create a better, more sustainable future for Belfast and beyond.
This year, our programme is built around five interconnected themes: People, Planet, Peace, Partnership and Prosperity. Throughout the week, we’ll explore what these mean for our city and how they can help shape a future that is greener, fairer, healthier and more resilient.
This year, we’ve taken an exciting step towards creating an all-island sustainability conversation, bringing together partners from across the island of Ireland. The initiative connects organisations and BIDs in Belfast, Dundalk, Dublin and as far as Sligo, creating opportunities to share ideas, experiences and practical action around sustainability.
This is just the beginning. Our ambition is to grow the initiative in the years ahead, bringing more places, people and organisations into the conversation and building a stronger, more connected approach to sustainability across the island.
Expect a packed programme of talks, workshops, interactive experiences, exclusive film screenings, tours, networking, outdoor activities and plenty of opportunities to get involved. From big ideas to practical action, RE[act] is about making sustainability accessible, engaging and most importantly, something we can all be part of.
