David Campton
David Campton
Board Member of Linen Quarter BID
Current Role:
David is a Methodist Minister and is currently Superintendent of Belfast Central Mission. Based in Grosvenor House, BCM works to help people right across the province with a diverse range of projects. These include befriending, parental support, and supported housing for young people leaving care or who have found themselves homeless and for older people. Also based in the Linen Quarter is their award Winning Nursery, Puddleducks.
Most notable achievement:
David is a Director of the 4 Corners Festival, an annual peacebuilding and reconciliation festival held every February which seeks to encourage people out of their own corners, geographically, culturally and intellectually, to encounter new people, ideas and places in our wounded and wonderful city. It has been great that the BID have been able to partner with 4 Corners to host two challenging events in the Linen Quarter in the last 2 festivals and we look forward to future imaginative collaborations.
Favourite thing about the Linen Quarter:
“I am deeply committed to the BID to build on the rich history and culture of this part of Belfast to develop a model of an economically and environmentally sustainable and diverse urban environment.”
