New Summer Street Ambassadors

For eight weeks of the summer, LQ BID has employed two Summer Street Ambassadors to act as welcome hosts for the Linen Quarter area, with the specific aim to support local businesses and hospitality. The team will engage with the public, and signpost visitors to things to do, including what’s on in the district.
Key activities this year will include:
- Provide a positive welcome to tourists and visitors, and to direct them to places of interest, specifically highlighting the hospitality & entertainment venues, along with other relevant services that lie within the LQ BID boundary area
- Engage with local business and signpost business members to any events / activities in the district – making them aware of offers
- Run a tourist advice service for local hotels (12 hotels in LQ area) and provide information on the Golden Mile Walking Trail & other relevant things to do in LQ- collating promotional information from Linen Quarter businesses for social media
- To conduct environmental audits of the Linen Quarter, and later to conduct a community safety audit
- To assist with business surveys and be the eyes and ears for policing and cleaning issues – particularly as offices return
- Support events & other relevant areas of work that will help promote or support the BID
