Linen Quarter BID sponsor Best Hotel category at Belfast Business Awards 2019

With more than 100 of the city’s top businesses and individuals being shortlisted for Belfast’s Business Awards 2019, Linen Quarter BID was delighted to be part of the event by sponsoring the Best Hotel Category.
The awards which took place on Friday 10th May in Titanic Belfast, celebrated businesses across Northern Ireland, rewarding them for their exceptional talent, diversity and competitiveness within the industry. On the evening, Linen Quarter BID sponsored the Best Hotel Category which saw six exceptional Belfast hotels listed, four of which are based in the historic Linen Quarter. All six hotels provide a benchmark for the city, offering an outstanding welcome to tourists, whilst continually inspiring higher standards across the industry. On the evening, the Holiday Inn walked away with the highly coveted and well-deserved award!
Hotels shortlisted include:
Crowne Plaza, Belfast
A refined modern hotel nestled in the scenic Lagan Valley Regional Park, only a short 10 minutes’ drive from Belfast City Centre. The hotel boasts 136 luxurious bedrooms which feature bespoke furniture and soft furnishings, along with the Crowne Plaza Sleeping Advantage Programme, ensuring guests have the best night’s sleep.
Grand Central Hotel
The is the 7th hotel by Hasting Hotel Group, located in the heart of the Linen Quarter of Belfast city. The 23-floor hotel is a four-star property and was two years in the making, before its official opening in June 2018. With a spend of £53 million, the hotel is the costliest hotel in Belfast to date and boasts a must-see view of the city from the observatory on the top floor.
Hampton by Hilton Hotel
Located in central Belfast on Hope Street, Hampton by Hilton is within walking distance from many of the city’s top attractions, including The Crowne Bar, Grand Opera House and the historic Linen Quarter of the city, where the Flax Field is located. The hotel boasts 178 rooms offering a comfortable place for business and tourists to stay.
Holiday Inn, Belfast City Centre (WINNER)
The central Belfast hotel is a 10-minute walk from the vibrant Linen Quarter area of Belfast and a 5-minute walk from Great Victoria Street rail station. Offering modern rooms and a cosy bar for casual dining, the hotel has most recently gained an open lobby area which has recently enhanced the hotels’ facilities.
Ten Square Hotel
Boasting 131 luxurious bedrooms and located to the rear of Belfast City Hall, the recently refurbished and extended Ten Square Hotel is an iconic landmark on the hospitality landscape of Central Belfast and is a 5-minute walk from both the Great Victoria Street Bus and Train station, and the retail sector on Royal Avenue.
Titanic Hotel
The luxury hotel in Belfast is located in the former headquarters of Harland & Wolff, builders of RMS Titanic, within the Titanic Quarter. The hotel features 119 luxury bedrooms with an Art Deco inspiration, a nod to the drawing offices where plans for the Titanic itself were dreamt up in the 1890s.
